Description

Orthodox Rus is an All-Russian exhibition and fair held in St Petersburg since 1995. The autumn 2026 edition will be the 44th. The project is organised by the RESTEC exhibition association as a church and public event that brings together the efforts of the Russian Orthodox Church, the authorities and the public in preserving and developing the traditional spiritual values of national culture, art and morality.

The autumn exposition is timed to the celebrations of 4 November — the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and National Unity Day. The spiritual centre of the exhibition will be the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God from the Church of the Icon of the Joy of All Who Sorrow in the village of Staropolye and the icon of St Sergius of Radonezh from the Church of St Basil the Great in Osinovaya Roshcha; prayer services are held before the venerated shrines daily at 14:00. Visitors can venerate the shrines, submit prayer requests to distant monasteries, talk to a priest and learn about Orthodox culture and traditions.

The exposition brings together Russian and foreign participants, including the St Elizabeth Convent (Minsk, Belarus), the Convent of St Mary Magdalene (Jerusalem), the Holy Trinity Monastery (Serbia), the Monastery of St Sergius of Radonezh (Montenegro), the Zadonsk Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery, the Holy Trinity Stefanov Monastery (Perm), the St Seraphim Protection Convent (Kemerovo), the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate, the Zavet icon-painting workshop, as well as farm and peasant households.

The exhibition sections present icons, books, church utensils, jewellery and artworks, souvenirs and monastic handicrafts, clothing made of natural fabrics, as well as honey, medicinal herbs and other natural products from monastic, farm and peasant households. The exposition introduces visitors to Orthodox culture, church art and the traditions of monastic and farm households. Visitors can see items and products presented by participants from various regions and countries.

The exhibition is held in Pavilion 4 of Lenfilm at 10 Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt, St Petersburg, a five-minute walk from Gorkovskaya metro station. Opening hours: 30 October — 4 November from 11:00 to 19:00, 5 November from 11:00 to 16:00. Admission is free.
