The metalworking and tool manufacturing industry nowadays is one of the most important branches in the economy of highly developed countries. For Russia the production of metal has always been one of the key branches of industry, thus stimulating the development of the metalworking. At the same time the biggest problems in the Russian industry remains the modernization of equipment and tools. That is why the subject of "Intertool - 2005" is a matter of current for the Northwest region of Russia, which possesses the enormous economic and scientific potential.
