Animal performances in circus programmes are highly appreciated by little visitors as well as their mothers, fathers and grand parents. Cheerful dogs, obedient cats, clever monkeys, lubber-bears, staid elephants, beast of preys, which it seems pretend fierce - all of them amuse, touch and bring many good feelings to all of us. Permanent care of animal's health is important to make their work effective and pleasant for spectators.
General condition of an animal depends upon much on the quality of feeding and condition of upkeep. St. Petersburg circus uses considered rules foresee the best conditions for four-footed artists.
Before the arrival of each group of animals the rooms are disinfected and the newcomers are examined by the vet.
The animals are kept under medical observation during all the time they spend on tour in St. Petersburg. If in animal falls ill it gets veterinarian help immediately.
The necessary daily diet is strictly kept.
In the programme "The House without corners", which is now on show, one may see not only dogs, horses and goats usual for us, but also exotic animals - camels, monkeys, lamas, pythons and even kangaroo. A deep consideration to them from the side of animal-trainers, doctors and circus personal does much to the success of their performances.
