Nakhodka Commercial Seaport is situated on the north-western coast of the Sea of Japan in the eastern part of the Gulf of St Peter the Great at Nakhodka Bay. Favourable climatic conditions, advantageous geographic positioning in the dynamic North East Asian market, state-of-the-art navigation equipment that ensures safe pilotage, all this allows the port to provide service within a specific time frame at competitive prices all the year round because Nakhodka Bay is ice-free even in the dead of winter.
The port's dock facilities allow two dozen vessels to access simultaneously its berths and its fleet of the finest cargo handling equipment can load and unload over 1,500 heavy-tonnage ocean-going vessels per year.
The port's cargo handling equipment can perform operations with the widest range of cargoes possible, including over-dimensional and extreme weight items, break bulk, containerized and bulk cargoes. The port can also handle steel bars, non-ferrous materials, metalworks, grain, chemicals, equipment and machinery, logs, saw wood, paper pulp, cardboard, foods, containers etc.
The port's terminals have both covered and open storage areas totalling 300,000 sq m.
The port's computerized freight tracking system accounts for cargoes from point of receipt to final point of rest on outbound vessels. The system has been designed and installed by Information Systems JSC. Information from this system can be accessed on any cargo parameters to monitor and control the receiving, cataloguing and preparation of cargoes. Our staff members are among the most knowledgeable and well trained in the shipping industry and they take great pride in their ability to solve customer problems.
