Status: administrative center of Vyborg municipal district of Leningrad region.
It is situated on the Karelian Isthmus, peninsular and skerries of Vyborg bay
of the Baltic sea, at the entry into Saimenovsky channel, in 130 km. to the north-west
from Saint-Petersburg.
