The town is situated in 270 km to the south-east from Krasnodar. Sochi is an urban
agglomeration which occupies the territory of 3506 sq.km. and stretches for 145 km.
along the Black Sea coast in the Caucasus.
Economy
The foundation of Sochi economy is the tourism and services for holiday
makers. There are numerous hotels, holiday resorts, sanatoria, rest homes along the
whole cost of the Big Sochi. Entertainments for tourists are offered by many cafes,
bars, entertaining centers, aquaparks, jetties, mooring berths.
Food and processing industries are very well developed.
