Kyakhta is located in Transbaikalia near the Mongolian border, on the Selenginskoye mid-mountains, 35 km east of the Naushki

Spinning and knitting factory, milk and brewery plants. Bakery plant and other enterprises.
Wheat, oats, barley, buckwheat, potato, corn, pea are cultivated in the Kyakhta Region. Cattle, horses, sheep, pigs are raised
here.
In the Kholonkhoy village there is a concentrated mill, working on imported raw materials (fluor spar from Mongolia).
