It is situated on the shore of the Taganrog Gulf of the Sea of Azov, near the firth of the
Eya River, by the Yeysk sand bar, which devides the gulf water and the Yeysk Firth, 247 km
north-west of Krasnodar, 172 km south-west of Rostov-on-Don.
Economy.
Yeysk is an actively developing industrial center of the northern part
of Kuban, famous by its amusement rides, metal cutting machines, fruit juices,
"live" Yeysk beer.
The largest industrial enterprises of the city are: "Attraction"plant,
"Yeysk Machinebuilding Plant", "570 Aviation Repair Plant", "Yeysk Plant of Polygraphic Machines".
The main enterprises of building industry: "Kubanglavstroy", "Jugstroy", "Meridian",
"Titan", "Zhelezobeton", "Yeyskstroymaterialy".
Transport: "Yeysk Sea Port", "Yeysk-Port-Vista", "Direktoria-New Sea Port", "Yeysk Port Elevator".
Food industry: "Priazovskaya Bavaria" brewery, "Yeyskbread" plant,
"Azov" canning industrial complex, "Yeyskmoloko" JSC, winery, confectionery,
meat processing plant, "Priazovie" collective fishery farm, "Rybny Zavod",
compound feed and grain elevator.
Light industry: Garment, furniture, footwear factories.
Agriculture: grain and grain legumes are mainly cultivated. Cattle and
pigs breeding.

Museums: Museum of History and Local Lore n.a. V.V. Samsonov,
Fine Art Museum, Memorial Museum of I.M. Poddubny and memorial complex
"To Yeysk Defenders".
Sights: Gostiny Dvor, building of Kseninskaya Gimnasium for Girls,
building of Merchants Assembly Hall, building of the Russian Bank of Foreign
Trade, railway station building, houses of merchants Mukovnin, Lopata, Tokhov,
Agababov, Lutsenko, Varvarov, monuments to M.S.Vorontsov, I.M. Poddubny,
S.F. Bondarchuk, T.T. Khryukin.
Because of the great number of trees and bushes Yeysk is considered to be the one
of the greenest towns in the Krasnodar Region. The park n.a. Ivan
Poddubny is the biggest green massif. The most full collection of amusement rides in Russia is collected
here.
There are different kinds of active rest spread in Yeysk and Yeysk district:
tourism, equestrian sport, parachuting, hunting and fishing. Yeysk is one of the
newly-emerging and very prospective yachting centers in Russia.
