Information about the city of Anapa
Status: the town of regional subjection, administrative center of
Anapa district in Krasnodar region.
The town is situated on the Black Sea coast in the Caucasus, on the high
north-east coast of Anapa bay, surrounded by the arms of the Main, or Dividing
ridge of the Big Caucases, in 160 km. to the west from Krasnodar city, 52 km. to
the north-west from Novorossisk. Anapa is the seaside, climatic and
balneotherapeutic (predominantly for children) resort of the All-Russian importance.

Wine trade is very common in the vicinity of Anapa town.
Culture.
Archeological museum-resort "Gorgippia" (mainly I-II century, excavations are
conducted from 1975), there is a big collection of antique articles.
