Since 1990s International Union of Railways (UIC) together with others international organizations, companies - operators and producers of railway machinery and equipment and with transport structures of European Union, carries out european congresses on the problems of high speed railway traffic EurailSpeed.

Exhibitions of the given activity field are organized simultaneously. The share of high speed lines in the whole volium of railway transportation is not large yet. But what is important that they represent the most advanced technologies in the fields of transport construction, mechanical engineering, power electronics, computer technologies, communication and many others which determine the quality of the modern railway tansport.

Presentation of the latest models of high speed rolling stock is traditionally held at congresses.
